Michael J. Heffernan graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Legal Studies in Business in 2013. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2016. He is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. Heffernan focuses his practice on the defense of matters involving general liability, premises liability, motor vehicle liability, property damage claims, and New York Labor Law. Prior to joining Sobel Pevzner, Mr. Heffernan worked as an associate at a plaintiffs’ firm handling all aspects of personal injury litigation.
Nicole Licata-McCord was admitted to the New York bar in 2003 and to the Federal Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts in 2005. She has previously worked as a litigation associate for an insurance defense firm, where she represented various insurance carriers, retail corporations and municipal entities. Her areas of specialty include premises liability, motor vehicle liability, governmental/municipal liability, New York Labor Law, property damage claims and appellate advocacy. She graduated cum laude from Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies and political Science. She received her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law.
James A. Wolff is a Senior Associate at Sobel Pevzner LLC. principally involved in the firm’s corporate transactional and commercial litigation practice areas. In his role as Senior Associate, James specializes in all phases across the corporate lifecycle including but not limited to formations and franchise strategies, governance and contract drafting, private equity and venture capital, IP and trademark law, employment law, mergers & acquisitions and buy/sell agreements.
In the course of his work for the firm, James counsels a diverse range of businesses and entrepreneurs on a wide range of corporate, legal, and financial issues; representing entrepreneurs, domestic and international companies, closely-held businesses, family offices, investors, and not-for-profit organizations in connection with business structuring, domestic and cross-border transactions, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, secured financing, joint ventures, investment fund structuring,
James is a frequent lecturer to business groups, emerging technology conferences, accounting and finance organizations, and lawyers, James is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers Association, and the New York City Bar Association. He is also an Executive Board Member of the United Nations Association.

Mr. Ringer currently practices in the area of general liability, trademark infringement law, premises liability, automobile liability, employment law, and general negligence for insurance carriers and sefl-insured companies in New York State.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ringer was an Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted hundreds of domestic violence cases.
Mr. Ringer received his Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University in 2014 and received his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 2017. Lance Ringer was admitted to the New York Bar in 2018 and is admitted to the Federal Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts.
Ekaterina focuses her practice on the defense of matters involving Workers’ Compensation as well as General Liability in New York and New Jersey. Prior to joining the firm, Ekaterina worked as a bankruptcy consultant at an international consulting company as well as a transactional attorney at an international boutique law firm in New York. She also handled Workers’ Compensation matters at a small firm.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from New York University in 2016 and obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Tulane Law School in 2020. She is a licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey and is fluent in Russian, Spanish and German.
Antonia Parsons focuses her practice on the defense of matters involving general liability, premises liability, motor vehicle liability, and property damage claims.
She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Entrepreneurship & Management in 2016. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2021. Ms. Parsons is admitted to the New York bar.
Geetpreet Singh Gill is an associate who currently practices in the areas of general liability, premises liability, automobile liability, property damage, contract law, and general negligence for insurance carriers in New York State. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and is a member of the New York City Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in all aspects of civil-commercial litigation. He has also worked as an associate at a law firm in India, where he practiced in the areas of administrative, constitutional, contract and general corporate law.
Mr. Gill received his Master of Laws (LL.M) from Cornell Law School in 2021. He graduated from the University of Delhi with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2013. He received his Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) from the University of Delhi in 2017.
Mr. Gill is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
Shabnam Froogh is an associate with a primary focus on Workers’ Compensation matters in New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Ramapo College of New Jersey and her Juris Doctor from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Prior to joining Sobel Pevzner, Shabnam interned at Verizon in Basking Ridge, NJ as a legal intern. Shabnam was also a legal intern at the National Football League in New York for their Corporate and Litigation department. During law school, Shabnam was a student intern at the Securities Arbitration Clinic which is now known as the Fairbridge Investor Rights Clinic (John Jay Legal Services) which ultimately led to her position as a research assistant for the clinic with a focus on FINRA and securities arbitration. Shabnam is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey.
Mr. Orlich is an associate with the firm. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York as well as the Eastern District of New York. He focuses his practice in the area of general liability including premises liability, amusements, sports and recreation, automobile, labor law, construction and general negligence. He has represented numerus clients in all aspects of the litigation process including mediation and arbitration.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Orlich was an associate at a boutique litigation firm in NYC where he focused his practice on products liability, aviation litigation, and commercial litigation. Upon graduating law school, Mr. Orlich was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Manuel J. Mendez in the Supreme Court of New York, New York County.
Mr. Orlich graduated from St. John’s University, magna cum laude, in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in International Studies. Thereafter, he attended Fordham Law School where he obtained his juris doctor, graduating in 2016.
Paul A. Lefebvre focuses his practice on civil litigation defending clients in matters including general liability, premises liability, product liability, automobile liability, condominium/community association liability, dram shop/liquor liability as well as defending physicians, nurse, hospitals, and health care systems in medical malpractice matters. He has experience in all aspects of litigation from discovery and depositions through jury selection and trial.
Mr. Lefebvre earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Villanova University in 1992. He subsequently earned his juris doctor from Widener University School of Law in 1995. Mr. Lefebvre has spent his entire legal career practicing civil defense litigation. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Gary Robbins is a Senior Associate at the firm’s Long Island office.
Mr. Robbins was admitted to the New York bar in 1997.
He graduated cum laude from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1992. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1997.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Robbins was General Counsel for a national facilities maintenance company, where he was responsible for all legal, compliance, regulatory, licensing and insurance matters. Mr. Robbins began his legal career as an associate in a mid-sized insurance defense firm in NYC, where he represented various insurance carriers, construction companies, retailers and municipalities.
